On my trip to Las Vegas, I purposely set out to track down of Wahlburgers, the family restaurant from the Whalberg brothers out of Boston.
I started with an order of Spicy Cheese & Bacon Tots, a dish that sounded like a comfort food fantasy turned reality. The crispy tots mingled with the smoky notes of bacon, immediately set my taste buds alight with anticipation. Each tot was a perfect bite of crunchiness, smothered in Chef Paul’s signature Wahl Sauce® that added a creamy, tangy counterpoint to the spice.
Parmesan is always a game changer
The pickled red onions offered a burst of acidity that cut through the richness, while the spicy cheese sauce covering everything in a soft, yet fiery embrace. A final sprinkle of Parmesan added a salty, nutty finish that was utterly irresistible. It wasn’t just a side dish; it was worthy of the main event itself.

the main event
Next up, The Double Decker. This wasn’t just any burger; it was huge, a testament to all that is glorious about American comfort food. As I took my first bite, the juiciness of the twin beef patties was amazing, each cooked with precision to retain their juiciness. Whilst not the best burger I’ve ever had, certainly marked a high point in my Las Vegas fast food dining experiences.
No meal of this calibre would be complete without the right beer to accompany it, and the Heineken beers I chose were the perfect companions to the smoked, salty main.

THE BEST BURGER IN VEGAS…?
Wahlburgers delivered an experience that was as vibrant and dynamic as the city itself, but the crown still stays with Five Guys.
